Gutter guard installation in Mackay.

Gutter guard is only as good as the mesh aperture and the way it is fixed. In Mackay both decisions are dictated by climate. Why aperture and fixing matter here.

The mesh has to be fixed at the correct pitch so water runs into the gutter, not back under the first row of tiles or sheets. On tile roofs around Mount Pleasant we use a saddle and clip system that lifts the leading tile cleanly; on Colorbond we screw to the ridge of the sheet with EPDM-sealed fixings. A guard laid flat or fixed loose is the job we get called back to repair more than any other.

A worked example.

A single-storey four-bedroom brick home in Andergrove with 64 lineal metres of quad gutter, Colorbond roof, easy ladder access: powder-coated aluminium ember mesh colour-matched to Surfmist, fitted in one day, gutters cleared first.
